About

In the summer 2016, I, Line Kay Spengler, graduated with a master's degree (Cand.arch) in architecture from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK).

Additionally I have a previous bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Construction Management from Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA) where I graduated back in 2011.

I believe that the combination of my educational backgrounds give a significant insight and understanding of both the artistic as well as the technical aspects when working within the field of architecture.

I have a great focus on creativity and innovation and in terms of my professional goals I tend to approach and work with architecture both as an art form but also in relation to some of my more technical skills.

However the creative process has always been crucial to me and in general I have a rather experimental approach towards architecture.

My passion and motivation lie within the scale of public, cultural, and educational use and after graduating I moved to London where I became an employee within the Cultural and Educational Unit of the architectural office John McAslan + Partners (JMP). Currently I've been working at the practice for the past 2.5 year and today I'm registered as a fully qualified architect in both Denmark as well as in the U.K.

This website is based on my current portfolio and is illustrating a selection of my professional as well as educational work.
